This is an undergraduate thesis project (Fall 2026) centered around the “four stages” of (my) bipolar disorder and depression. Although I’ve created similar work in the past when I am feeling this way, I seldom display it, and I typically end up painting over it. This series is an experiment, I am painting how I feel. My feelings are being translated in some way onto canvas through color and shape, and I am feeling these feelings—to some degree—when I am painting these pieces.
